Turkey Avocado Cheeseburger

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. chili powder, divided
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1/2 c. Chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 avocado, plus more for serving
  • 2 tsp. lime juice
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 toasted whole-grain sandwich thins
  • Sliced tomato, for serving
  • Lettuce, for serving
  • Sliced onion, for serving

Recipe

  1. Mix ground turkey with garlic, cilantro, pepper, chili powder, and salt.
  2. Form into 4 patties.
  3. Work in batches. Air Fry at 360°F for 15 minutes or until cooked through (with internal temperature at least 165°F ), flip halfway through cook time.
  4. Add 1 cheese slice on each burger 1 minute before timer stops to melt the cheese.
  5. Mash avocado with lime juice.
  6. Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the thin whole grain sandwich thins about 1 tbsp for each burger.
  7. Place burgers on whole-grain sandwich thins; top with avocado and tomato, onion, and lettuce.
